Nano-Grants to Care for Animals
SAIN's Animal Assistance Program (AAP) is a nano-grant program that provides financial aid to help owners maintain care for their animals in times of need while they work toward a long-term solution. SAIN's AAP can provide feed as well as farrier or vet care, as a bridge for those in economic distress.
This program includes the work formerly done by AARF: The Anacortes Animal Relief Fund, which was merged into SAIN's AAP in May of 2023.
If you or someone you know is struggling to provide care for a companion animal, SAIN can help. This financial aid program funds feed, farrier, vet care, and other needs. We can work directly with veterinarians, feed stores, farriers, and other care providers.
